"It's an important opportunity for people who have up until now not been able to avail themselves of regular health care."Enrollment in the marketplace will begin Oct. 1, with pre-enrollment activities commencing in the coming weeks, according to Will County. The outreach effort is funded with federal dollars that are administered through the state, Reato said.A variety of public agencies and private organizations have received similar outreach funds, he said.Personnel will be recruited who will be trained and charged with helping educate consumers about the Affordable Care Act and the various health care options available to them, according to the county. The coverage, which begins Jan. 1, will provide new opportunities for uninsured or under-insured Will County residents, according to health department Director John Cicero."It is likely that many area residents who will be eligible for subsidized coverage through the ACA have never, or rarely, enjoyed access to comprehensive health coverage," Cicero said in a statement. For more information, log on to willcountyhealth.org or call 815-727-8480.geoffz@tribune.comTwitter: @JournoGeoffZCopyright: ___ (c)2013 the Chicago Tribune Visit the Chicago Tribune at .chicagotribune.com Distributed by MCT Information Services儲存倉
